update of the chapter reference
@Andreas: there are several empty paras in the menu items, where I need your input because of my limited knowledge of this topic
Revision 2 (+135 -260)
added the info provided by Andrius to chapter reference.
we use terms like GPT + LUKS in the reference without any explanation,
should we add these two term (and maybe others) to the glossary?
Revision 3 (+145 -264)
Yeah, we should probably mention GPT, LUKS as well as LVM terms (LVM Physical Volume, LVM Volume Group, LVM Logical Volume). GPT A modern partition table format supported by most modern computers and operating systems. It supports more than 4 <link linkend="glossary-primarypartition">primary partitions</link> unlike older MS-DOS partition table. LUKS Linux Unified Key Setup is the standard encryption format for Linux.
Looks good! Just one last questions. Do you think we still need<para>LVM Volume Group is a collection of LVM physical volumes that can be partitioned into logical partitions. It might be used to create file systems spanning over multiple devices or to split encrypted LUKS volume into smaller partitions.</para>
in referencemanual.docbook? It partially dublicates LVM in glosarry although it might be fine to leave it here too...
