By default dolphin displays full name of a file/folder in icon view mode. Due to this a long file name will end up in many lines. To display this, extra space will be used in panel which will cause an increase in the height of the row to which the item belongs. This thing makes the overall grid look unpleasant. Therefore the maximum number of lines used to display the file/folder name must be two. So that if a file name spans more than two lines then the extra lines will be ommited and replaced with "...". Thus the grid will remain uniform and look pleasant. Users can always see the full file/folder name in the status bar when they hover over or select that particular file/folder.
