This does not appear to work. I've tested with an IMAP account with "Download all messages for offline use" that is connected to a Kolab 2.3 server. I've tried syncing before and after, no changes to behavior.
When I add a new user to the ACL i can select Apply permissions on all subfolders. Get the Question if I really want to do this. Select Yes.
-> If I open the Folder Properties / Access Control again on that folder (or subfolders) it is unchanged.
-> On another system I can see that the Account I've shared access with does not have access.
If I Don't select "Apply permissions on all subfolders" it is saved for that folder but not for subfolders. I can see on another system that the folder is shared. This works as expected.
If I don't make changes to the ACL's I can still select Apply Permissions on all Subfolders. I don't get the Confirmation dialog on apply but I would either expect that the checkbox is disabled in that case or that the current permissions of that folder are copied to the subfolders.
I fixed recursive apply. I fixed apply recursive when ACL is not changed but recursive is checked
